Using Business as a Force for Good in Loveland
With a waitlist for attainable housing that’s currently 3,000+ families long, it was time for the public, private, and philanthropic powers to unite to address the growing issue. Brinkman has teamed up with Habitat for Humanity, Aspen Homes, and the Loveland Housing Authority to bring more than 200 new attainable housing units to Loveland targeting 30% to 120% AMI. The land planner and civil group have recently been identified as bha Design Incorporated and Galloway, respectively. Within the 13.4-acre site, Grace Gardens at Derby Hill, Habitat for Humanity will build 32 single-family homes for homeowners targeting 35-69% AMI, Aspen Homes will build 30 for-sale townhomes at 70-120% AMI, and the Loveland Housing Authority will build 144 affordable housing units for rent at 30-60% AMI.
This partnership between Brinkman and the Loveland Housing Authority began in 2017 with an investment of funds and volunteers to support the delivery of services to their clients. The mission of the Loveland Housing Authority resonated strongly with Brinkman, fueling us to increase our involvement with them in 2018 as a mission sponsor.
Through this partnership, Brinkman’s community investments are supporting education programs for youth; services for families with low incomes; supportive programs to keep veterans stably housed; and navigation services that improve access to health and wellness programs for older adults. This upholds our mission of ‘Using Business as a Force for Good,’ as well as our commitment to donating 10% of our net income to like-minded non-profit organizations striving to positively impact families and communities.
