Brinkman Collaborates with DBA to Extend Fort Collins Holiday Lights North One Block

On Friday, November 2nd, hundreds gathered in Old Town Fort Collins for the annual Downtown Holiday Lighting Ceremony. Among those in attendance was Brinkman, an official sponsor of the lighting event, as well as others such as Cosner Financial, The Eye Center of Northern Colorado, Blue Ocean Foundation, First National Bank, and Maximum Painting.

Brinkman worked with the Downtown Business Association to extend the lights one block further north, to illuminate the trees directly in front of their newest project, The Exchange.

Guests enjoyed hot chocolate courtesy of Ginger and Baker and musical entertainment from The Andrew Vogt Jazz Quartet in Old Town’s Oak Street Plaza while they waited for the official kickoff of the holiday season.

As the countdown began, guests squeezed shoulder-to-shoulder into the plaza as cheers from the crowd could be heard from blocks away. Jay Hardy, President of Brinkman, as well as other sponsor representatives joined in on stage.

“Ten! Nine! Eight!”

And just like that, within a matter of seconds, over 100,000 lights illuminated the tree canopies and streetscapes of Old Town Fort Collins once again.

The dazzling display of low energy and sustainable LED lights stretches through seven blocks and will remain lit for the holiday season through Valentine’s Day. The Downtown Holiday Lighting is produced by the Downtown Fort Collins Business Association, the Downtown Development Authority, and the City of Fort Collins Parks Department.
